L. Cundiff, aged 92, who died at her home near Phil around 10:30 o'clock Tuesday morning. Deceased was the widow of the late G. A. Cundiff, Sr., and was familiarly known to her large circle of friends as "Aunt Tish." She was a native of Adair county and her maiden name was Harmon. She had lived in the Dunnville section for a good many years and no person that ever lived in that section was more universally loved than "Aunt Tish." Her husband preceded her to the grave about twenty years ago. She had been an invalid for a good many years and despite her advanced age had enjoyed very good health until the past few months when her infirmities became too great for her weakened condition. No stranger was ever turned away from the home of Mrs. Cundiff and no one enjoyed visits from her large family and other relatives than did she. She was one of the few remaining widows of veterans of the Civil War residing in the county and perhaps has the largest number of surviving descendants of any person in Casey county, as she leaves two sons, Mr. L. W. Cundiff, of Glendale, Ariz., and Mr. George Cundiff, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio, also six daughters, Mrs. Lona Rubarts, Louisville; Mrs. Ida Carson, Phil; Mrs. Mattie Combest and Mrs. Ann Russell, Dunnville, and Mrs. Ada Combest and Mrs. Maud Rich, of this city, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will number upwards of over one hundred. In her passing many hearts go out to the devoted children who have been so kind and thoughtful of her during her invalid years. She has received every care and attention that it was possible for her to have. Funeral services will be held at the Antioch Christian church of which she had been a faithful member for a good many years, at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, with her pastor, Rev. H. B. Popplewell, of Jamestown, in charge. Burial will follow in the family lot in the Antioch cemetery.

The Casey Co. When she entered a nursing home I inherited all of her genealogy records. In going through those records I found some articles on people that I can't find a family connection to. Also, as I have been going down the genealogical road I have amassed a number of obituaries, documents, newspaper articles, etc. of people who are also not related to me. I thought I would share them here and maybe somebody would read them and go "Hey, those are my relatives!" or "Hey, I know somebody who might be interested in that information." The items will be sourced where possible.
